First off for today, the client liked their three bar stools, so up goes my Product Sold number (pause for mini happy dance).

Next, spent my morning on my favorite day of the training where we get to go onsite to a local manufacturer.  I am a true maker geek at heart.  The second I walk into the doors of a manufacturer and catch a whiff of that scent of machine oil on the air, it makes my heart do a triple summer sault!  Plus I love the opportunity to give my students some hands on experience, that is by far the best way to learn, at least in my opinion.

Then it was a race back home where I proceeded to attempt to drink from a gigantic fire hose, also known as tackling my days to do list.  Going to let you in on a secret, I sucked at it.  I took one look at that list and panicked.  My anxiety immediately took me to the place that there’s no way I’m ever going to get it all done in time for my pop-up shop, so why bother trying.  Took me about two hours to fight through that.  I fessed up to my new accountability partner who is also a #makermom and #mompreneur, pulled up my big girl panties and had enough time to squeeze in some work out in the garage (a.k.a the home shop) before the wife and kiddos got back home.

I was able to get a serving tray sanded and first dye applied using a new dying medium.  Plus get cork backings applied to two sets of coasters.  Definitely not everything on my list, but its not nothing, so hip-hip-hooray for me!  Might try to squeeze in some quieter things like twitter, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube tonight.  Babes were in bed and asleep by 8:30 tonight, do not want to waste that opportunity, also don’t want to tempt fate and wake them up with the sounds of power tools coming from the shop!

Wins for the day: Completing the sale of 3 bar stools (yay me)! And working through my anxiety and getting back on track.

Fails for the day: Even though I let that pesky anxiety get the best of me for a bit of time, I still managed to pull it together, so going to count it as all wins today!
