Woo! Another few whirlwind days under my belt. First day of a new daycare for my youngest was yesterday and she had a great day! Big tears at drop off but when my son and I went to pick her up she didn’t want to go home! And this morning, no tears at all at drop off. Good sign for sure and lowers this mama’s anxiety level. Tonight, is ice cream social at my son’s school a couple of days before his first day of Kindergarten.
My son has been home with me so far this week and we are trying to cram as much fun into these last few days before school starts as possible! Including the first ride on a merry-go-round, followed the next day by a 2nd and 3rd time. I think he’s hooked! I on the other hand am just happy I end the ride without tossing my cookies. Me and things that spin round and round do not mix well! I have been able to sneak in a few work things here and there. Starting with completing the editing and posting of the DIY video for creating your own wood and resin art piece. Link is below, it’s a super quick video. I’m happy with how both the art pieces turned out.
The rest of today and tonight I will be steadily working to get the last interview I did with a DIY mama transcribed to paper for everyone to read tomorrow. It’s a good one, so don’t miss it! I will be working on scheduling my next two or three interviews for maker or DIY mamas. Quick question, do you like reading/listening to those interviews here in this format? Or, would you rather listen via a weekly podcast? Just something I am tossing around. Let me know! Shoot me an email or leave a comment down below.
Biggest wins for the day: Fun times with my kiddo.
Opportunities for improvement: Putting nose to the grindstone a bit more to take advantage of time I do have to work.
