Today I have been doing a lot of thinking about “momming” or the “mom life”.  So, what really started me on wanting to create this daily blog, besides hopefully inspiring Mom’s to get out and create or start a business or both, was to provide a bite size read for Mom’s with littles 5 and under. Why? For one that’s me.  For two, I have really just been noticing a lot lately when I take our littles out to kid friendly places I see the kids playing and the Mom’s reading on their phone.  Now I used to be the first to judge this action, until I had my second kiddo.

I was extremely lucky enough to be able to spend the first 6 months of my daughter’s life home with her.  I had worked hard and saved up cash before her birth just for that sole purpose.  I knew going from 1 kiddo to 2 would be difficult, but I didn’t realize just how much of a life adjustment it would be.  So, I found myself during the day, and especially during the early morning breastfeeding hours, going to my phone to find things to read, to feel like I was still part of the adulting world.  Good sources for me for articles and the such to read were various mom groups on Facebook.  There were a lot of articles about breastfeeding, being the mom of a toddler, juggling more then one kid and work, all were good.  The problem I ran in to was most of them were multiple pages long and didn’t allow me time enough to get through them before my daughter was either done feeding or getting fussy.  The other problem I ran into, was they were all focused just on our interaction with our kiddos.  I get it, that interaction is crucial, but so is the need for me to feel like a separate human outside of just being a Mom to a newborn, or now to a 5-year-old and a toddler.  So, my hope is, I’m not alone, and maybe this will reach another mommy out there at 2:30 am looking for a quick bite of adulting mixed in with the breast vs. bottle debate articles. If this is you, then I say hello and welcome.  I also invite you to tell me if there’s something specific you would like to learn about or talk about.  You can always reach me through my social media accounts, or email me.

Biggest wins for the day: Remember the “why” behind the daily blog.

Opportunities for improvement: Not sure there are any today.
